In my final incarnation as a scouter I have developed and used my small acting talents to develop a Baden-Powell persona since for years I have looked a lot like BP.
I have studied a lot about him and the ideas for Scouting that he had which were based upon experience, common sense, observation, and fundamental perceptions about the needs and character of boys.
I have made so far about 14 three minute BP talks posted on YouTube . This is a copy of the business card I made for him to use. Believe me, that even though I am now aging out of it, for years wearing my imported campaign hat, British uniform and correct ribbons and gray neckerchief , I look much like the world-known picture of BP:
Beginning in June, 2025, my colleagues and I are going to be producing a podcast under the name Aides to Scouting to support and encourage the Scouting Movement around the world.

- I have left out a recounting of my efforts to promote and aid girl scouting. In my opinion the program as practiced in this country is weakened by its lack of vigorous and challenging outdoor programs, and think that both it and boy scouting will benefit by the sort of integration of programs as is practiced in Europe. It. was finally adopted by the BSA in 2019.
- When “being “ Baden-Powell I try to insist on being called him and on using an English accent of the type I think he used. I have , of course, hear him speaking on old recordings.
